My wedding to Sue on September 5th 1992 was the happiest day of my life.  The whole family contributed significantly to make it a special day.  Maggie was able to secure Marston House – her place of work – as the spectacular reception venue; Sarah made the three-tier cake and she and Nicola were bridesmaids; David was page boy;  family friend, Mark Crooks played the music in the church and his jazz band entertained guests in the evening; in Alan’s absence, Brian gave Sue away.  Because of various timing issues and school holidays, Sue and I had to take our honeymoon ahead of the wedding, leaving Barbara to do all the organising! This she did with grace and panache, capping it all by presenting me with my dowry of 2 cows and a camel in the middle of the wedding speeches.
